 The Department offers BCA and M.Sc(IT) Programmes which are handled by 16 dedicated, efficient and qualified faculties. They have published many papers in reputed journals and have presented many papers in conferences and seminars. Frequent updating of skill set and knowledge advancement is done by attending orientation, refresher courses, workshops and faculty development programme. The department hosts more than 600 students at a particular academic year.

The Department has so far organized 4 International Seminars, 7 National Level Workshops,1 National Level Seminar, 48 Extension activities, 30 Technical Expos,2 Eye Checking Camp, 7 In-Plant Training , 5 Industrial Visit,and 6 In-Campus Drive. The department organizes Techxtra-An Intra Departmental Technical Competition and Dhamaka-An Intra Departmental Non-Technical Competition, every year to inculcate the leadership and organizing capabilities among the students.

The Department has Collaboration with TCS for organizing Workshops, Affirmative Assessment Programme for Under Privilege students which is assisted by placement. Wipro is another such MNC which regularly visit our campus.The department Collaborated with CMC, Vellore in serving the Flood affected people.
