Carlo Acutis Media Services (CAMS)

Carlo Acutis Media Services (CAMS)is a vibrant and inspiring initiative dedicated to nurturing creative communication and digital knowledge growth among todayโ€™s youth. Established on19th March 2025 at St. Joseph's College of Arts & Science, CAMS was solemnly blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. Francis Kalist, Archbishop of Pondicherry and Cuddalore, marking a significant step in integrating knowledge with modern media technologies.

Named after the young digital apostle Carlo Acutis, CAMS embodies his spirit of using media as a powerful instrument to spread truth, beauty, and goodness. Inspired by his life and mission, the centre seeks to empower individualsโ€”especially studentsโ€”with the skills required to communicate effectively in the digital age, while remaining deeply rooted in moral integrity and spiritual values.

CAMS offers a comprehensive, hands-on learning environment through a wide range of media-oriented modules. Participants are introduced to audio recording and editing, beginning with tools like Audacity for single-track recording and extending to Sound Forge for professional-grade audio enhancement. Here, learners gain expertise in noise reduction, equalization, effects application, and mastering techniques, ensuring high-quality sound production.

The programme also emphasizes creative design and visual communication. Through platforms like Text Studio, students explore innovative typography, while Post-my-wall enables them to design impactful pamphlets, posters, and digital visuals with effective layouts and image integration.

In addition, CAMS provides advanced training in audio-video production using Vegas Pro, equipping learners with skills in video editing, transitions, synchronization, watermarking, and chroma key (green screen) techniques. Multimedia integration, including the incorporation of PowerPoint presentations into video content, further enhances the learning experience. Supporting these processes, Any Video Converter ensures smooth handling and compatibility of various media formats.

Through these structured modules, CAMS not only equips learners with technical expertise but also nurtures creativity, collaboration, and purposeful communication. It transforms media into a meaningful missionโ€”turning ordinary technical skills into powerful tools for education, awareness, and skill development.
